The 2025 Sur-Ron Ultra Bee looks a lot like the 2024 bike, but it's a real update underneath: more power, a bigger battery, an 18" rear wheel and a few more pounds. We've ridden it, weighed it and range-tested it. Here's what changed and what we'd do to one.
Power: 18 kW in Sport, with a Turbo burst
The 2025 Ultra Bee makes about 18 kW in Sport mode. Hit the Turbo button and it bumps to roughly 21 kW for a short burst before dropping back. On the trail it feels like an 18 kW bike with an extra kick when you ask for it. That's a big step from the 12.5 kW the 2024 model was rated at.
Battery: 74V 60Ah
The pack grows from 74V 55Ah to 74V 60Ah. More capacity means longer rides and stronger, more consistent pull late in the ride when the pack is lower.
Weight: 203 lb on our scale
We weighed our 2025 Ultra Bee at 203 lb. The 2024 model was quoted at 187 lb. Most of the extra weight comes from the bigger battery and the new 18" rear wheel with a larger tire. It's heavier, but it still feels balanced and planted.
2024 vs. 2025 at a glance
| 2024 Ultra Bee | 2025 Ultra Bee | |
|---|---|---|
| Power | 12.5 kW | ~18 kW (Sport), ~21 kW Turbo burst |
| Battery | 74V 55Ah | 74V 60Ah |
| Rear wheel | 19" | 18" with a larger tire |
| Weight | 187 lb (quoted) | 203 lb (our scale) |
Real-world range
We ran the 2025 Ultra Bee through our range test, and the bigger battery paid off: longer rides and less worrying about running low mid-trail. Range depends heavily on riding style, terrain and rider weight, so watch the test to see how it compares to how you ride.

Upgrades we'd do first
It's strong out of the box, but these make it more comfortable and easier to control:
- Warp 9 Surron Ultra Bee Upgraded Foot Pegs – a much bigger, grippier platform.
- Warp 9 Tapped MX Handlebars (1 1/8" clamp) – a taller, more natural riding position.
- Pro Taper Pillow Top Upgraded Handle Bar Grips – less hand fatigue on long rides.
- EBMX Competition Brake Pads – with the extra power and weight, better pads are worth it.
Want it all in one order? Check the Surron Ultra Bee Recommended First Upgrades bundle. Riders who want more dirt-bike feel up front often go to a 21" front wheel like the Warp 9 Front Wheel for Surron Ultra Bee 21in. Ask us to confirm fitment on the 2025 model before you order.
Bottom line
With about 18 kW, a 74V 60Ah battery and an 18" rear wheel, the 2025 Ultra Bee is a real step up from the 2024. Yes, it gained weight, but that weight came from the upgrades that matter. Out of the box it's one of the strongest mid-size e-motos you can buy, and with a few smart upgrades it'll run with much bigger bikes.
