Light Weight Is the Big Deal
At 130 lbs, the Falcon Pro is the lightest bike in the 79Bike lineup, and it still makes a full 10 kW. Light weight makes it easier to throw around on tight trails, easier to jump and easier to pick up when you drop it. The Fastace 2.0 fork and Fastace rear shock soak up rough terrain while keeping the bike stable and predictable.
Motor and Top Speed
The 10 kW peak mid-drive and 410 Nm give the Falcon Pro strong pull, and 79Bike rates it at 56 mph. On our first top speed run with an early unit and a 6'3", 190 lb rider, we hit 48.6 mph on GPS. The bike's display read higher than our GPS. We think gearing it down would help, and a lighter rider should see more. If top speed matters to you, factor in rider weight.
Battery, Range and Charging
The 72V 35Ah LG battery is rated for up to 75 miles. In our standard range test (eco at about 27 mph, sport at about 50 mph), the Falcon models placed just behind the E-Ride Pro S, which did 41.3 miles in eco and 23 in sport. A full charge takes about 3.5 hours.
