2025 Sur-Ron Ultra Bee – Power, Battery, Upgrades, and Real-World Insights

The 2025 Sur-Ron Ultra Bee may look like last year’s model, but under the surface are meaningful upgrades: substantially more power, a larger battery, a revised rear wheel, and heavier—but more capable—construction.

Power: 18 kW Nominal with Occasional 21 kW Bursts

The 2025 Ultra Bee produces 18 kW of nominal power. Press the turbo button and it jumps to 21 kW, but only for a short burst before returning to 18 kW. In practice, it feels like an 18 kW bike with an extra kick on demand. This is a major leap compared to the 2024 model’s 12.5 kW rating.

Battery: 74 V 60 Ah (vs 74 V 55 Ah)

The 2025 Ultra Bee now runs a 74 V 60 Ah battery, up from the 55 Ah pack in 2024. That extra capacity enhances ride time and ensures more consistent performance under heavy load.

Weight: 203 lb (vs 187 lb)

We measured the 2025 Ultra Bee at 203 lb, compared to the 187 lb quoted for the 2024 version. The added weight comes from the larger 60 Ah battery and the new 18-inch rear wheel with a bigger tire. While heavier, the bike still feels balanced and planted, especially if paired with a 21” front wheel upgrade.

Final Thoughts

With 18 kW of power, a bigger 74 V 60 Ah battery, and an 18” rear wheel, the 2025 Sur-Ron Ultra Bee is a major step up from the 2024 model. Yes, it gained some weight, but that weight comes directly from the upgrades that matter. Out of the box, it’s one of the strongest mid-weight e-motos available, and with just a few smart upgrades, it’s ready to rival full-size dirt bikes.
